this lp released in the midst of psyschedelia, flower power, and all the great music of the late 60s stands out as a true milestone in 60s pop-psych, the lp reflects the softer underside of pyschdelia ; the BEACH BOYS 'PET SOUNDS/SMILE' era, the ASSOCIATION, and to a lesser degree CHAD and JEREMY,( think 'summer rain' :) )...... and the MAMAS and the PAPAS, even the TURTLES, allthough what makes this group of musical associates stand apart from these bands is the overall sound and studio sophistication that made this lp sound ahead of it's time with the blending of keyboards with the softer side of the electrical guitar and like BRIAN WILSON and his band, the vocals really stand out, one can hear echoes and vocal harmonies soar here as very few bands sounded like this at all, this lp is a true gem of the 60s, the main team behind the MILLENIUM were CURT BOETTCHER, and GARY USHER, but one can say that the other members contributed a lot to the overall sound too, they included ; RON EDGAR, LEE MALLORY ( who passed away in March '05 ) , DOUG RHODES, SANDY SALISBURY, JOEY STEC, and last but not least MICHEAL FENNELY who went onto a glam rock career in the 70s ( see page 12 of the 70s invasion for info on FENNELY ).......all had been key players in the pop psych field while some were asscoiates of the ASSOCIATION.......this lp is to be played on spring and summer mornings and it's always guaranteed to bring a smile on your face and make one think of the sun, rainbows, flowers, and freedom.......

similiar to the ASSOCIATION with girls singing along wonderfully in the background, this one has a *golden* pop sound.......lyrics here convey the message of the times 'I don't want to be a millionaire, And I don't want to fly on wings of silver and gold And I don't have to climb the highest mountain in the world, To find what I'm looking for, 'Cause it's here when I'm with you....
6 ' THE ISLAND'
a moodier song with vibraphone, elec. guitar, and effects such as birds and tropical nioses.......'Island is your land, The Island is giving us the word,It's saying you've got to let me out of this little cage that we live in,It's time to free yourself, and start to live.........'
7 'SING TO ME'
pop-rock, the riff sounds like it was borrowed from the STONES 'SATISFACTION' but they make it sound more like pop with the horns, actually sounds a lit like the TURTLES.... ' All the things that I know I can feel, I might just feel with you, I'll tell of the things that can be real, If you want to make it true, Sing to me, make me stay -- show me how you love your way.......

[NOTE: We see here that Jesus is now accepting one name of the Supreme One God as Parambrahma. Maybe by now he has heard from a bona fide devotee of Krishna, or the Lord in the heart known as Paramatma has directed him in this way, or Jesus could be stating something he really knew all along but could not reveal for various reasons. In any case, he is pointing toward the universality of God. Similarly, Srila Prabhupada explains that it does not matter which name of God you chant/pray, just so long as you do so. He further explains that God is not limited to one name and has many, with Krishna meaning “all attractive.” Who would not want to worship the most attractive?! :-) ]
20 When men become afraid of God, and take him for a foe, they dress up other men in fancy garbs and call them priests.

[NOTE: Jesus needed to disempower any bogus priests since many of the people apparently were convinced they could not go to God but through them. However, to follow Christ's words means he has been accepted as guru or spiritual teacher, and one goes to God through him. This acceptance as him of authority is not a contradiction. Jesus is not looking for any post. That is an important sign of a qualified guru. One who desires to be guru is often unqualified.]

as with the rest of the songs here the emphasis are the gentle pop vocal harmonies and gentle sound.......' horns begin this psychedelic journey with pounding drums making this one of the more heavy songs on the lp, interesting lyrics too, classify somewhere between MOODY BLUES art rock, and LOVE as in ARTHUR LEE.......' Why don't you reincarnate any moment of your past?........Have you ever stopped to consider this could be your last life?.......Hanging from the stony wall, one they called the Know It All Took away his crystal ball 'cause he said he saw '........

we were given a cd which is an interview with 2 of the members of the MILLENIUM who hadn't spoken to one another in nearly 30 yrs, recently the guys at Kxlu ( 88.9 f.m. ) sat. nite psych show 'SHE COME IN COLOURS' from 10:30 p.m. - 12 played this interview on the air as they had done in the past only this time in mid april '05 they featured more excerts than our copy, LEE MALLORY passed away in march '05 and they talked about him at lenght amongts other topics,
a main point of the interview from waht we recall is that the guys said they're was talk about how the lp could rank with the varied rock acts of '68, basically meaning that the BEACH BOYS , ASSOCIATION, etc, all made great pop-psych but in the age of HENDRIX, CREEDENCE, and all the other top acts of the day the band found it harder for these pop-psych songs to find a market place, and some even looked upon their brand of music as passe, but really it was anything but that, with all the studio wizardy the MILLENIUM were indeed light yrs ahead of their time....
Cow's milk is an inefficient food source. Cows, like humans, expend the majority of their food intake simply leading their lives. It takes a great deal of grain and other foodstuffs cycled through cows to produce a small amount of milk. And not only is milk a waste of energy and water, the production of milk is also a disastrous source of water pollution. A dairy cow produces 120 pounds of waste every day -- equal to that of two dozen people, but with no toilets, sewers, or treatment plants.
In Lancaster County, Pa., manure from dairy cows is destroying the Chesapeake Bay, and in California, which produces one-fifth of the country's total supply of milk, the manure from dairy farms has poisoned vast expanses of underground water, rivers, and streams. In the Central Valley of California, the cows produce as much excrement as a city of 21 million people, and even a smallish farm of 200 cows will produce as much nitrogen as in the sewage from a community of 5,000 to 10,000 people, according to a U.S. Senate report on animal waste.

The late Dr. Benjamin Spock, America's leading authority on child care, spoke out against feeding cow's milk to children, saying it can cause anemia, allergies, and insulin-dependent diabetes and in the long term, will set kids up for obesity and heart disease, America's number one cause of death.
And dairy products may actually cause osteoporosis, not prevent it, since their high-protein content leaches calcium from the body. Population studies, backed up by a groundbreaking Harvard study of more than 75,000 nurses, suggest that drinking milk can actually cause osteoporosis
